Two-block Shear Spring

In this calculation, a spring representing a coupled elastic element with a length L, width T and height H is considered.

The spring is under load F, acting in the direction of H dimension (look at figure). As a result of calculations, an axial deformation Y and shear stress τ in the elastic element are determined.

For the calculation, the elastic modulus E and Poisson's ratio ν of the spring should be specified.
