Jet Height Calculation

In this calculation, a stream of water with an initial diameter or thickness d, average initial velocity W0, directed vertically upwards, is considered. As a result of calculations, the jet height H is determined using the empirical formula:

H = h / (1 + K1 * h);

h - is the hydrostatic head, or the jet height excluding air resistance.
K1 - coefficient of air resistance depending on the initial jet diameter.

BASIC FORMULAS

Hydraulic head:

h = W02 / 2g;

Jet lifting:

H = h / (1 + K1*h);

K1 = 0.00025 / d + 1000d3. d - Jet initial diameter (in meters).
