Jet Pressure on Surface

In this calculation, a fluid jet with a density ρ and average velocity W, directed to a flat surface at an angle α is considered.

Depending on the flow dynamic pressure Pd, the fluid pressure P on the surface, the maximum of which is at the point of contact between the jet and the plane, is determined by the formula:

P = 2*Pd*sin2α

When contacting with the surface, the jet range increases and depends on the angle of attack, nozzle diameter and height above the surface, initial velocity, and fluid density.
